Eleven riders from Bideford Bombers
had to race as experts at the South West BMX Championships in Cheddar.Justin
Gatting made the podium with a third in the 25+ cruisers - a result matched
by Jack Gatting in the 9yrs class, Cyril Jury in the 17-24 race and
Stephanie Jury in the 7-9 girls.
Tom Granger went one better in the 13yrs B final and finished second.
Elsewhere, Connor Mills was ninth in the 8yrs race, while Paul Teare was
10th in the 9yrs class.
Will Nethacott was eighth in the 12yrs, Daniel Jury seventh in the 13yrs A
final, and Cyril Jury fifth in the 17/O B final.

Bideford bombers rider Steffan Teare yet again outclassed
his opposition to claim two straight victories in the 13th and 14th rounds
of the Regional BMX Series.The U10 rider stormed through in first place in
the 10yrs category in both rounds. While club mate Daniel Jury also had a
double win in the 11-14yrs age group.
In the 14yrs age group, Daniel's brothers Cyril and Brian had to share the
honours by taking a win a piece in both rounds of the 14yrs category.
STEFFAN LEAVES HIS OPPONENTS IN TEARES

Bideford bomber Steffan Teare cruised to victory in the latest round of the
South West BMX Regional Championship.Steffan dominated the 10-year-old
experts category at Tiverton, while brother Paul also rode well to claim a
credible eighth place in the nine-year-old experts.
Bombers returnees, East the Water's Jury brothers, also rode convincing
races.
Daniel Jury gained a silver in the 10-13 novices, while Brian and Cyril
battled it out in the 14 years novices to take first and second
respectively.
Meanwhile in the 11-12 years experts, Will Nethacott came 17th, beating team
mate Maxx Gatting into 18th.
Jack Gatting grabbed fourth in the nine-year-old experts, and Justin Gatting
achieved a seventh in the over 25's 20", and second in the 16-29-year-old
cruisers.
Tom Granger was second in the B final of the 13-14 years and Liam Oakes was
first in the novice 10-13 year-olds.
Bideford host rounds 11 and 12 at Pollyfield on Sunday. Registration is from
10am.
GATTINGS IMPRESS AT TIVERTON
MEETING

There were a collection of firsts and seconds
as Bideford Bombers' Gattings clan impressed in an Easter Sunday BMX race at
Tiverton. Dad Justin was second in the 25yrs+ 20" class, while sons Jack and
Maxx claimed first in the 8/U and second in the 11/U respectively.
Fellow
Bideford rider Steffan Teare also competed, and triumphed in the 10/U class.
GRANGER MAKES THE PODIUM

Barnstaple's Tom Granger raced well to finish second in the
nine-12yrs BMX A final at Cornwall.Tom, who has been racing with Bideford
Bombers for about a year, had fantastic races all day and his efforts paid
off with the result.
Maxx Gatting also competed in the same age group and finished 2nd in the B
final while Justin Gatting came 7th in the 25+ A final.
Due to bad weather Bideford Bombers have had to postpone their winter race
in February.
Training resumes at Pollyfield, East-the-Water on Saturday, February 3.

Justin Gatting claimed a podium place at the South West BMX
Championships in Bristol at the weekend. The Bideford Bomber came 3rd in the
25yrs Cruiser class, and was one of nine riders from the club to race.

GATTING CLAIMS FANTASTIC FINAL SPOT

BMX: Jack Gatting claimed a fantastic eighth overall in the
British BMX Championships at Doncaster. Gatting was the only one of six
Bideford Bombers at the meeting to reach a final - finishing among the top
riders in the 8yrs final.
Josh Short came ninth out of 20 and made it to
the 6/U semi-final in his first attempt at a British Championship.
Fellow debutant Will Nethacott was 24th in the 12yrs group, while 16-29
cruiser Andy Short finished 21st.

two first places in the 6/U experts at the BMX club's double header. Andy
Short claimed two second places in the 25/3O cruiser expert, beating Justin
Gatting in third place in both events.

Exciting race action among more than 100 bikers made the Bideford Bombers
BMX meeting at Polyfield a huge success.
Fourteen club members braved the heat and thunder in the regional event,
putting in performances to be proud of.
Tom Granger (12yrs+) and Ashley Fletcher (14yrs) both raced brilliantly to
win novice titles. Will Nethacott (11yrs) won the experts B final while in
the 25-year-plus Cruisers Final, Andy Short came second and Justin Gatting
was third.

Bmx racing: Bideford Bombers' enjoyed some good results in
the double header at Bristol. Stefan Teare claimed first place in round 4
while Will Nethacott and Maxx Gatting both recorded B Final wins.
And there was encouraging news for five-year-old Josh Short who raced in the
nine-year-olds age group and just missed a place in the final.

regional event of the season at Burnham.

DEBUT MEDALS Date 02.03.06
The Teare Brothers burst on to the BMX racing scene with
medals on their competitive debuts. The Bideford Bombers Duo Stefan and Paul
finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the 9-years and 7-years races at Decoy
Open.
Eight of the Club's riders were in action and Jack Gatting carried the flag
to the top of the podium with an overall victory in his class.
Brother Jack was fifth and Liam Oakes eighth in their finals; the youngest
Bomber to take the track so far - Josh Short - was third in the 6 & under
category and Dad Andy pipped his club-mate Justin Gatting for third place in
the cruisers.
